how it works in [faq]

hearts, reputation points, levels, and more
a heart is a vote for something your like. you get a certain number of hearts to use each day based on the level you're at. your daily hearts reset every 24 hours.
the easiest way to earn reputation is by hearting great content. after you heart something, you get 1 point each time someone else hearts it. also, it will cost you 2 daily hearts to add something to tvpedia, but you'll get a bonus point for every heart it ever earns. you also get reputation points for completing quests, filling in content, and inviting people. in fact, if you invite someone, you'll get 3% of all the points they earn.
absolutely! you'll get a point for every heart you've given something when someone else hearts it.
your level corresponds to your reputation. the higher your reputation, the higher your level.
you can revive content to the top 10 "hot right now" by spending 500 points. the content may sink or swim from there, but you'll get 20 points for every heart it earns for 24 hours.
quests are special things you can do to earn extra points. like, for example, being the first to comment on a page.
the only rule for adding content is that it must be notable enough to have a Wikipedia page.
you start with 7 daily hearts. each time you level up, you get an additional daily heart. daily hearts = your level + 7;
your heart points get updated once per day. other points get updated in real time.
